Scryway

Contemplation and grimoire

Tools for practices you lead yourself. Scryway keeps the record; it does not tell you what to recite, which tradition to follow or what a colour, herb or hour corresponds to. Traditions differ, often sharply, and blending them into one table would misrepresent all of them.

Contemplation

Mantra and prayer counter. Tap the circle (or press Space or Enter) for each repetition, with rounds of 27, 54 or 108, as on a mala, or no target. Phones vibrate gently on each count and more firmly at the end of a round. The count survives a reload. Saving records the number, the rounds, how long it took and, if you want, the words in your own hand.

Timed silence uses the meditation timer, with bells to begin and end.

Routines are sequences you build once and return to: steps that open a practice (the card of the day, the passage of the day, a rune, a dream entry, today’s transits), timed steps, and steps in your own words. Running one gives you a checklist; timed steps tick themselves off. Each run is logged with how many steps you did and a note.

Grimoire

Rituals. A private record of what you did and why: the intention, the tradition or approach, the correspondences and materials you worked with, where they came from, and what you did. Naming sources keeps traditions distinct in your own records. The Moon’s phase at the time is noted automatically, since many traditions time work by it.

Scrying sessions. Gazing into a dark mirror, water, glass, a flame or smoke and recording what comes. The form keeps raw impressions apart from what you make of them afterwards, which matters when you look back.

Pendulum. A hand-held pendulum is moved by small muscle movements made without conscious intent, known as the ideomotor effect (described by William Carpenter in 1852). Many people use it as a way to surface their own unspoken sense of a question. The log keeps each question and answer and your calibration (which swing means yes), and shows the balance of answers. To test answers against what happens, register the question as a prediction with a date.

What is kept

Every record is private to your account and gets an entry in your journal, where you can add an interpretation, tags and dated reflections on how things turned out. Records can be edited or deleted; deleting one removes its journal entry too. Everything is included in your export.
